Clothes: how they are made
Long before people wove cloth, the baya weaver bird wove its nest from grass, over and under. In this chapter you will weave a mat on a loom, spin loose cotton into a strong thread, and sort fibres that come from plants, from animals and from factories.
Think about it
Your shirt is made of thin, soft cotton fibres. How do fibres that thin become strong cloth?
